Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is to be composed of five members and two alternates who are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Henefer Town Council from among qualified electors of the Town.
Powers and Duties of the Planning Commission:
- Prepare and recommend a General Plan and amendments to the General Plan to the Town Council.
- Prepare and recommend land use ordinances and maps (including zoning maps), and amendments to the land use ordinances and maps, to the Town Council.
- Administer provisions of the land use ordinances, where specifically provided for in the land use ordinances.
- Prepare and recommend subdivision ordinances and amendments to those subdivision ordinances to the Town Council that regulates the subdivision of land in Henefer Town.
- Recommend approval or denial of preliminary subdivision applications and plats an provided in the Town Code.
- Recommend approval or denial of conditional use permits for land use applications according to the Town Code.
- Recommend an appeal authority for the Town of Henefer to the Town Council. The recommended appeal authority is the Henefer Town Board of Adjustments.
- Advise the Town Council on matters as the Town Council directs and hear or decide any matters that the Town Council designates, including those powers authorized by state law.
- Conduct public meetings and Public Hearings as are required by law or as may be deemed necessary by the Planning Commission
- Excersies any other powers that are necessary to enable the Planning Commission to perform its functions or delegated to it by the Town Council.
- Be designated by the Henefer Town Administrative Land Use Authority for Preliminary Plats as permitted by the Utah State Code 10-9a Part 6
Meetings of the Planning Commission shall be held at the call of the chairperson and vice chair at such times the Planning Commission may determine.
